Anyone knows how to convert the allready recorded mono track to stereo? In protools all you have to do is copy 2 mono clips and drag them to stereo track, but i tried that in Cubase sl3 and no go. :(

Can anyone help?

Thanks

well, even in protools, it won't be stereo because it was recorded as mono. It's just two identical tracks panned left and right. Why do you want it in a stereo track?

Because i want to play with a pan,and dont want another channel created just for that.

When panning, it only plays one side, but i want to pan this track on the other side.So if its a same sound ,then its ok since i just want to pan the sound to the right. Plus it sounds a little beefier when in stereo, correct me if i'm wrong.

In cubase, you should be able to drag a mono file to a stereo track without having to duplicate it.

Right now its a stereo track ,but has a mono clip in it. I only see one clip in the track comparing to my other tracks that have 2.

Weird,i got to go check it out again.

Mmm, if I understand correctly what you're trying to do, I would just drag it to a mono track, and then pan it from there. You can still pan a mono track anywhere from far left to far right.

Thanks guys,i greatly apreshiate it.Now come to think about it my outputs were messed up.I had a stereo out,but forgot to pan the outputs on the 01v96 .Arggg sometimes i wish i would keep it simple like i used to.

Thanks ,its fixed. :D
