ok im trying to make my stereo speakers have inputs like on a guitar cable at the end they call em like 1/4 inputs i was wondering if it would work to attach the 1/4 inputs to the speakers wire and use em for monitors so i dont have to buy em

Technically you COULD do it... you would have to have something to power the stereo speakers though... I am assuming you have speakers that just connect to a stereo and dont plug into a wall for power... So it's not just as simple as hooking a 1/4" jack up... Even if you did manage to get power to them and solder the jack to the speakers, they wont make good moniters as they are not "flat". This means they have frequency boosts (usually in the low end) to make stuff played on the stereo "sound" better
