Monitors!

Ok, I'm looking around for monitors and I want a decent pair and a crappy pair. For a decent pair I'm looking at Blue Sky 2.1, Event 20/20 biamped monitor or KRK if I can afford them. For the crappy pair, Yamaha NS10M. Must have these. When I was working in a studio they had those Yamaha, Mackie HR/HS HR824 series and a piar of Tannoy, I'm not sure what series but they were for listening the finishing project. The Yamahas are something to guide around, they sound like your everyday crappy stereo. Thats what I got from them.

But if anyone has any recommedations for bugdet quality monitors please imform me.

And also what do you guys think about the Mackie Big Knob? Is it very nessesary?

What do u all have hooked up to your Knob? Do you use and Furman headphone distribuation?
