hey guys anybody can tell me which monitors will be the best for DANCE/CLUB/TECHNO music? thanks again

A) I hate people who tell you 'to do a search', so I give help but
B) really, do a search, this topic has been covered more (the <$500 range) than Monica has been covered by Bill's wadd...

now, here's my help
Dance/techno: Behringer Truth. $400. Lots of bass, highs, better mids than Alesis Monitor ones.

Now, remember, young Jedi, 'use the search function Luke'. :)

Event 20/20's. They are wonderful. And for $299.00, they can't be beat. :D

And remember......

"The SEARCH will set you free..... Use the search" ;)

Although I also hear a lot of ravings about those Event 20/20's, those you mentioned are PASSIVE, that means the guy still has to buy a decent amp (Quad, Hafler?) and cabling. So, he'll end up spending a lot more than your mentioned $300, right? Therefore, for $400 I think the Truths (for Dance, because of the low-end) can't be beaten.

IMHO.

hey thanks guys! i think i`ll go with the truth since its gonna save me a little more money for something else..THANKS!

IMHO, you could purchase a used amp from your local electronics store, for under a hundred. Plus, speaker wire won't cost you more that $10 - $30 dollars.

BTW......YMMV ;)

...check out the Fostex PM-1's..... they are active and for under 5 bills. I checked them out at a sam ash not too long ago and was pretty impressed
