Monitors-Tannoy Reveal vs. Event 20/20

This is my first post so go easy on me! I'm sure you're all sick of the "What monitors should I buy?" question, but I'm looking for a very specific response here. I'm just starting to put together a VERY basic setup, and due to budget constraints (read that as "lack-o-cash") I'm forced to limit my monitor search to relatively small, passive systems (I'll buy a dedicated amp later). I have read good things about both Tannoy Reveals and Event 20/20s. I have actually only been able to hear the Tannoys, and I very much liked what I heard, especially compared to anything else in it's price range. Yes, I know there are a lot of you out there who have the Events and love them. I haven't been able to find any locally to hear for myself. My question (long-winded as it was) is: Is there anybody out there who has been able to A/B these two specific systems, and how did they compare? And please be a little more quantitative than "they sucked" or "these blew the others away". Thanks very much to any and all who reply.

For years, Tannoy dumped a bunch of junk stuff in the US...you know, stuff you would find at the large grocery store places that sell everything including used songs???

Well, I guess from what I've heard, Tannoy finally put some nice speakers on the market.

But, you have answered the question yourself when you said you HEARD THE SPEAKERS....that's the answer....HEAR THEM AND THEN LET YOUR EARS AND YOUR WALLET DECIDE what you want.

You know, man, you don't need 5k speakers to cut a good song.
