Tubes, when I write to get 2-3 pairs and compare them in your own studio space, I mean that you should return what you don't like within 30 days.
Borrow papa's credit card if you can, and be sure to check the store's/site's return policy. My point is this: it's very very hard to buy a monitor unless you actually hear it in your studio, regardless of how many people tell you it's great. Your personal tastes--and your environment--affect what you'll be happy using. Several times, I've bought a piece of audio gear on such a recommendation only to find that I (personally) didn't like the sound.I hope you won't do the same, if at all possible.
