Greetings,
I just got my new Terratec EWX 2496 card. Looks great but it's missing something I thought I was going to get. A spdif coax out. It has a spdif optical not coax. Right now I run a Sblive with Live Drive. I take the spdif coax out of the card and run it into my Digital speakers (Cambridge Audioworks). I then run headphones (when my wife is sleeping) out of my live drive.
I still intend to keep the Sblive card along with my Terratec (provided I get no conflicts). I will use the Sblive for Midi i/o and the terratec in Sonar, Fruityloops and Acid.
Is there a way to run my audio processing (recording/soft synth sequencing) through my Terratec and use the Sblive to monitor using either the spdif coax or headphone out? OR can I convert the spdif optical out on the Terratec to a spdif coax out?
My fall back postion is to run the analog stereo outs to my Mackie 1402 VLZ mixer and then run the mains out to my Audioworks speakers and use the headphone jack off the board. Not that I have room on my desk for any more equipment.
Any thoughts?
