i'm new to the whole game, but i'm really grasping a majority of the applications and whatnot in audition 1.5...but is there some way that i'm not finding to monitor what i am tracking in my speakers as i track?
i'm using my laptop and not getting very technical...its really the only that that bugs me day to day when i track...is this just me overlooking...or what?
feedback is very much appreciated.

What Operating System are you using?
What input are you using? Line In or Mic In?
What other gear are you using? Mixer/preamp?
Headphones/Monitors/Computer speakers?
If you are using a Windows OS ... double click the little speaker down by the clock and make sure you don't have the input that you are using muted and the fader for that channel is set to a level as to where you can hear the output. This method is best used with headphones to avoid feedback, unless your mic is far enough away from the speakers and/or the level isn't to high.
