Monitor Speakers Help

Hi,

I'm a rookie with a fat doubt. Where goes the monitor speakers?, on the mixer? or on the computer?. I buyed an Active M1 520 Without usb monitors kit, and they have 1/4 inputs. So, my first idea was to connect them to the mixer, a PV8 (USB), but when i'm recording i allways get rare noise, feedback, etc.

I usually patch my monitors to the output of my interface. Be sure to turn the volume down as low as you can on your monitors to avoid feedback when recording. Better yet, use headphones while tracking.
