Monitor sound swell...PLEASE HELP

So i have a few problems...one happens to be (with my m-audio 2496 card)
When i turn my moniotrs on and start running my prgrams, (such as trackion and others) About every minute i get this stupid hiss in my monitors and then it swells up really loud then just stops and this always happens. Also i have the spdif in/oputs hooked p to my roland 1880 and unless it's turned on i get this loud rumble as long as the monitors are on....i dont want to have to turn my 1880 on just to listen to music or play my midi programs...can you help?

Sounds to me like the demo mode hiss that Tracktion makes.

Have you bought your copy of Tracktion?

(When I first read the title of your post I read it as 'monitors sound swell!')
