Currently i own the RP5's..but i need more bass response and these monitors lack in it. So now, i want one of the following:

1) Yorkville YSM1P
2) Event TR-6
3) M-Audio BX8a
4) KRK RP6

i want to know which monitor above has the best and close to accurate response, as well as a good solid bass response. thanks.

Why not just Get a Subwoofer ?? The Subwoofer will take care of the Lower frequencies and your RP5's will take care of the Rest and you will also save some money this way and Probably still get better bass responce than getting a More Expensive Set without a Subwoofer....

Just a Thought.....

Cheers

hey did you have a price range? assuming youre staying sub $500... try the Event TR-8 XLs.. alot of bass.. or even the BX8as from M-Audio. good luck !

Well my budget is $550(without tax) CDN. so the event TR6's just fit in. i have never heard any events. are they better than KRK's and m-audio's?

well the choosing monitors has to suit how the user will apply them. me personally, i owned the KRK RP5s.. and while they sounded nice, i needed something with great mids, and a punchy low end. I replaced them with the KRK V6s.. because it has a great mid range sound, and i'll benifit from that cause i mainly mix vocals. you mention needing more bass, so i think the events will probably provide more of a 'kick' to it.. versus KRKs 'punchy' sound.
