Monitor Routing

Hi there, first time poster, long time reader. Thought this would be a good place to ask my question,

I have two sets of monitors, one powered, one passive connected to an amp, and one main output on my interface.

I'd like to know if there is anyway to switch between the two, to monitor my mixes on both without pulling leads out etc every time? Also if the amp is on and there is no signal going to it (while I listen through the other monitors) is this going to damage it in any way?

Thanks in advance

Easy to do, just get some splitter adapters. I've got mine hooked up that way, one set of splits goes to the monitors, the other to an old Sony amp that has some bookshelf speakers hooked up to it. I leave the amp off unless using it, but there wouldn't be any harm in the signal routing to it when not in use.
Go to your local equivalent of Radio Shack, you'll find what you need.

Thanks,

Would this enable me to A/B between my sets of monitors or would it send the signal to both simultaneously?
