im setting up some samll stereo speakers for a/b purposes.

i want the stereo speakers on their side, with the reference monitors on top.

question is, does the tweater stay on the inside or the outside?

i hope this question makes sense.

thanks in advance everyone. i did a search but i guess i wasnt typing in the correct keywords, i couldnt find the answer.

thanks again.

ok bye

It should be like on this photo:

By this you will get better stereo perspective and localization of vocals/instruments in record.

actually there is a sound reason they should be verticle... but no-ones gonna spank ya... put the tweeters outside...

what is that reason, out of curiosity?

i have my good ones vertical, and the cheapo stereo speakers sideways

A wider stereo image. Bass frequencies are omnidirectional, and also most bass instruments are centred anyway.

basicly the argument is that the higher freq's arive later by virtue of being outside so the image tends to wander with respect to frequency.... evedently we are'nt as sensitve to it with respect to highth...
