Monitor Event 20/20 powered price check, opinions needed

Looking to upgrade wharfedale 2.1A's.

Locally a guys has a pair of Event 20/20 BAS powered monitors, asking $350.

THis a reasonable price? Are they signifiantly better monitors, or is it not worth the investment?

I would just call my fave vendor or vendors and ask what they can do price-wise for "new gear."

Also, ask about "free shipping." If you don't ask, you "ain't gonna get it." It's all about a few bucks here and a few more "there."

I've had a couple of experiences with a major vendor who would always "beat" my other vendor's price if not just to get the business and the sale.

However, I do not SWAY from a reliable vendor for 20 bucks. If I've been treated well, I'll stick with that vendor.

I had one vendor call me and tell me he would send me six different mics to try out and I could pick the one or two I like best and send back the rest OR just send them all back. Yea, verily, I would pay the return shipping but TRUST and integrity from a vendor is most welcomed.

Check to see if they're version 1's or 2's. The V2's are considerably better and I use them every day. I've never tried the Warfies but I can't see them being any better than the Events. I paid $900 for the 20/20's btw.
