connecting monitors

I feel a bit dumb asking this. I am planning of purchasing a Digi 002 Rack and Tannoy Reveal monitors.

I presume the Tannoy has XLR inputs and the monitor output on the Digi is... jack...:s Do I really need to buy a mixer just to connect my monitors, or is there another solution?

I'm not sure what you're asking, but lemmie go ahead and take a stab anyway -

It sounds like what you need is a set of cables with a balanced (3 conductor) quarter-inch plug on one end and XLR jacks on the other. Dunno about the Digi 002 specifically, but can't imagine them letting that out the door without balanced outputs.

Then what you'll need is a pair of quarter inch cables with three conductor plugs on both ends. The plugs look like those on the end of headphones, but in this case the 3 conductors are used for hot, cold and ground just like a standard microphone cable...
