modulation on vacuum not recording?

hi there,

I'm trying to record a sound with vacuum while I'm messing with one of the envelope filters. the sound records, but the sound is all one thing and the sound of the envelope filter being adjusted has no effect on the recorded version. I have an ancient keyboard so I have to control the filter with my mouse while I'm playing and recording - is that why the filter isn't being recorded? any ideas?

You might be better off using an envelope to control the filter. The envelope would control the MIDI CC amount to open/close the filter. Then the filter should automatically respond according to the envelope when you play back the sequence.

Are you recording a softsynth or processing a hardware synth through a DAW???
