Mods for a Blue Tube??

So I'm reading this month's TapeOp and there's an interview with the head of Presonus. In the interview he mentions that he typically tries to make it so that the op-amps in Presonus equipment can be swapped out. That got me to thinking.

I brushed the dust off the Blue Tube I haven't used in god-knows-how-long and popped a NOS tube in there and started poking around. The tube helped a little bit, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any mods that can be done to a Blue Tube to make it a bit more useable.

I don't understand why anyone would want to mod it. I think it makes a perfectly usable doorstop as it is.
