I went to a demo of these two products last night in Minneapolis...I've got to say that they look pretty sweet, especially when working together...
Plug-in's still look a bit light (there's probably a few more since the press releases) - and the cost is probably way above the average home recordist (oh...about $14,000 total for a whole system) - but man...once you did, you could just shut up about needing more gear for about five years...
The thing that really got my attention was intergration (and future work) making the D8B (a three year old digital console) work with the HDR96...more still to come, I suspect.
I'm seriously considering bailing on my current setup and drooling over this stuff...pretty sweet.
