first thing i recorded with my samson cl7 that i bought from a friend because he doesnt really use it.
i think it is a pretty straight forward recording, a little reverb was used on vocals and some compression on the vocals, nonetheless any recommendations are welcome!

Cool. I really like the guitar sound...some sort of drop tuning I'd imagine? It has a nice, natural kind of resonance, but almost flabby sounding (but I mean that in the best possible way (is that really possible?)). Would be great as an intro to a bigger metal piece...I kept imagining a full-blown kit kicking in with some monstrous riffs and such. Too short...you should do something with this.

it is tuned in drop C
probably the lowest i would go on an acoustic.
it would help if they were new strings.

i did this recording all one late late night. so i was in a hurry to have a finished product... i do intend to expand upon the idea though.
waiting for my firepod first...

I think that was pretty awesome. The guitar definitely sounds both detuned but good, which I would have expected would be almost impossible to do with an acoustic. Also, it reminded me of Days of the New, but in a good way.

I definitely agree that it sounds like a great jumping-off point for a sort of epic metal thing.

I'm looking forward to hearing more of it.
