Hey I wanted to see how other people do their mixxing on vocals. Obviously, there is no 1 approach to even one track/recording/take of a person's vocal . . but I am still curious how other people approach mixing a recorded take . . so screen shot a verse I was working on . . feel free to take a listen and view my settings . . if u would change something let me know . . or feel free to share what type of settings you use on your vox . .

First thing that sticks out to me is the bump in low end EQ. I cant listen to the audio yet (at work) but bumping the low end is always a dangerous venture strictly because it may make the overall mix muddy. Ill take a listen to the sample when I can.

Is it a premixed beat or tracked out?

premixed beat. i can only contrl the vocals. but m pretty sure if something needs to be treated on the beat itself . . hat can be done . . cuz . .my h.r. fam did the beat . .im sure he will get around to droppin a line in here sooner or later . . once he do . . he shall b known . .
