Hello everybody. I'm developing my mixing skills and trying to get some decent tracks for my band done.

I'd love to hear as many opinions as possible on this track titled "No Signal". All opinions welcome, positive, negative, suggestive, hateful. Just let me know what you think and if possible what I can do to improve it.

Thanks!

You'll get more feedback if you can put it where people can stream it instead of downloading.

LDS is right about streaming vs. downloading, but I downloaded it nonetheless. The big thing that jumped out at me--Is this mix intentionally mono? Everything's right down the middle, no separation at all. The drums sound dull and distant, but it's hard to be more specific with everything down the middle.

Are you using high pass filters? (theres a lot of low-mid clutter) Sounds like it could be cleaned up a bit. Drums are very distant and boxey. What gear are you using to do this?

Sorry about the mediafire link. I changed it to my bandcamp location.

It wasn't intentionally mono, it did have some minor separation but I have made it much more pronounced in the newly uploaded version. I had Hi-Pass on the vocals, keyboard and bass but now pass'd the guitars at 125hz-ish.

As for the gear used:

Firepod into Sonar 8.5
Drums: MXL 993 Pair (overheads)
Beta52 (Kick)
SM57 (Snare)

Guitars: SM58 or 57 + AT-3035 a foot away
Bass: Beta52 and the AT-3035 (Too noisy to go direct)
Vocals: AT-3035
Keyboard: Direct

I feel the drums need to come up a lot. Right now it sounds guitar-based and I think it would sound better if there was a good balance between all the instruments.
