I have one stick of 128ram
what do they mean when they say don't mix ram!
can I mix a 128with 32 or64 with the same mhz rating etc..

Yes you can add 32 or 64MB. Best to use the same MHz rating on the 2 DIMM's, but you can usually get away with mixing PC-100 and PC-133, or PC-66 and PC-100, it will default to the slowest DIMM. Best luck is usually with the same manufacturer. What DIMM you need will be determined by what your FSB is running at.

Celeron's - 66MHz FSB - PC-66 or higher
Pentium II's - 100MHz FSB - PC-100 or higher required
Pentium III's - 100MHz or 133MHz FSB (depending on the CPU). PC-100 or 133 if it's 100MHz, PC-133 if it's 133MHz FSB.

Just to add a bit...when people say "don't mix RAM" they mean "don't count on it." That doesn't mean you shouldn't try if you've already got the memory and it's compatible speed wise!
