When bouncing all your recorded tracks 1 thru 8 to 9/10 are you looking to make the level go as high as possible on the meter without going above the threshold at the top of the screen?

Then once that is done and you go to master it, are you then trying to make the master track level go as high as possible without going above(same as when bouncing)? or are you trying to keep 9/10 and the master track at the same level on the meter?

Can you increase the overall volume by bouncing everything to 9/10 then bouncing it to say 11/12?

There's a section of these forums just for Boss/Roland products, you will have better luck there.
Mix for the overall soundlevels of all inputs. I believe the device automatically sums/reduces volumes when in Bounce mode so that you don't clip (at least my BR600 does).

When bouncing to 9/10 you would want to get the levels as high as you can without clipping. I usually aim for -4 as my target level. While mastering, you can increase the level by editing your EQ section input and/or output levels.
