Hello,
Im just starting to get into some serious recording and I am looking into buying new softwear to record and mix in. As of right now, I use Magix Audio Studio 2004 Deluxe. I am looking to find a program with more fetures but still Not As Complicated as many of the PRO programs. I want to find a program as Easy to Work With as Magix Audio Studio but have more PRO fetures. Any suggestions??

Have you looked at Steinberg's Cubase? thats a great programme to record and mix in. Lots of different versions too with huge variations in price. Check it out :)

Good luck!

Cakewalk Home Studio, Cubase SE, N-tracks <---- I heard alot of people say this was good I have never used it.

I use Cubasis but I think it's a little complicated. If I were to start over I'd either get Home Studio and eventually upgrade to Cakewalk, or just get ntrack which is only like $75 and full blown.

Cubase is pretty simple if you have any sort of experience with recording on traditional gear. The nice thing with Cubase is you can get into a lighter version and leave yourself a good upgrade path should you decide you like it and/or need more than what it does. It can grow with you. It is also the most widely accepted PC program amongst professionals (or Nuendo, but it's considerably more expensive).

There are many other programs out there as well. With the right knowledge they will all do really cool stuff. My biggest reccomendation is not any specific piece of software, but more of one that you will not outgrow. It's cheaper and more efficient to spend a little more money once than buy several cheaper things.

If you don't need midi, Cakewalk GT3 is a snap to use and has at least one of everything you need to do a half decent mix. It uses the Sonar audio engine and is pretty cheap

Samplitude by far one of the best and easy to use. You should be able to step right into to it since you are using Magix Studio.
