Im recording my bands EP. I did my last bands Ep and was pretty pleaseed with the result, but this ones a bit more involved, got backing vocals, and synth. Wondered if anyone had any tips on getting the synth to sit right in the mix? Our singer will be using a well old Moog for the sound.

Are we supposed to give you general tips, or were you supposed to post a clip???

I will be posting clips in the MP3 section around the weekend, i was just looking for general tips at this stage. Wondered if there was a common problem with conflicting frequencys with distorted guitars, if compression is usually needed, etc

EDIT I realise this is a kind of vauge question, im not looking for a walkthrough just wondered if there was anything to make sure i do/avoid

"synth" covers such a wide variety and possibility of sounds and sources, and a "synth's" use in the arrangement and composition can be so varied that it's hard to give any advice other than treat it like any other sound track: listen to it and give it what it needs.
