Mixing in basement?

hi, all:

I will be moving into a house with a rather large/empty basement (sorry, don't know the demensions yet), but I can definitely hear "reverb" when I am down there. I believe the walls as well as the floor are all concret.....This will be where I track drums mostly, and I was wondering if I should be mixing down there as well for the convience.
If I choose to mix there, what should I look out for? how to improve the environment? Roughly about how much money will it cost me?

the volume of the basement can be your best friend...

don't worry about the reverb, this can be easily tamed. when you get a chance describe the layout, and height of the room and calculate the volume of the room.
