Mixing down to 2 track

I've got Cubase VST/24 and I'm just curious what methods people use for doing their final mix.
Do you use an outboard application, or mix down to 2 tracks in Cubase itself?

I've got a song done with 24 tracks and want to do a final mix, then convert it to MP3... just not sure of the steps to take to get there.

I usually get the mix right in Cubase, export it as a stereo interleaved wav, and touch it up in Cool edit. You can export it right to mp3 too from a 20 bit mp3 all the way up to a 320bit mp3, if your version has this option, I think I read somewhere that some versions you have to pay extra for the mp3 option. But I'm sure you'll hear alot of better options if you have the right equip.
