mixing critique

V.F.D. (very f***ing distorted). Dig the tunes though, even if it's not my genre, and even if you don't care. Cymbols sound detached, like they were recorded separately (one song in particular, 2nd or third). Everything else sounds compressed to hell, then there's these cymbols that don't.

BTW, you'll get more feedback from the MP3 clinic.
 
thank you very much for the advice. i'll start posting in there. :)

everything except the guitar and vocals is samples, so that might be where the compression problem comes in... that and the fact that i compress the final mix. i'm unsure why the cymbals sound detatched... maybe the levels mixed with the panning. thank you for your input!
