SP C1 miced at the 12th fret. MXL 603s miced above left shoulder, kind of pointed toward the 12th fret, over the top of the neck though, you know..ha.

Also, direct in recorded from the guitar.

So, I got three tracks to work with, anyone got some tips for me? I was gonna pan the two mics probably 30%r/30%l or 40%r/40%l ...and probably keep the direct in going down the middle softly. it adds some nice tone to it i think.

any other tips though?

I thought the "standard" (if there was one) way to record classical guitar was:

Matched pair small condensers ain an "X-Y" config 12-24" off the 12th fret, panned hard L-R...

Just what I have read.... Classical is 1 type guitar music I don't play. (Although I would love too :) )

I think I'd try direct panned R and the c1 left with the 603 center. In theory the direct will give you more of that sharp tone when the guitarist plucks closer to the bridge, which is on their right. I might try a touch of stereo reverb on the 603 back in the mix.
