I have read many posts in the forum in the subject but I'm still confused
(I'm speaking of connecting a mixer or preamp in a soundcard)
It is correct that mixers have more inputs than preamps,
usually have a mixed stereo output, and contain preamps?
It is correct that in preamps number of inputs is usually the same
with number of outputs?
What requirements should I have to choose a mixer instead of a preamp?
If I want record just an acoustic guitar do I need a mixer or preamp?
It seems to me that I need a preamp, but if a mixer in the same budget
has better sound quality, I will prefer the mixer?.
For example Yamaha MG10 and Audio Buddy cost the same money ($100).
Which one fits better my needs?
I speak mainly about "type of products" and not about brands
Of course sound quality is an issue.
thanks
George
