I've been reading Mixerman's diaries and he talks about a digital workstation he calls Radar. Apparently it's the only digital unit he thinks sounds good. I was just wondering what this unit is.

I know Alsihad is Pro Tools, and he doesn't even think that that's good, so I'm curious.

The Otari RADAR is a stand-alone hard-disk recording unit that is along the same lines as the Alesis HD24. It features high-end converters, full-function remote (that controls multiple units) and a built-in graphical editing interface - they run about $15k per 24-ch unit.... they are outstanding, but expensive.

Clearly I was referring to similarities in the fact that it's a self-contained, 24-ch. hard disk recorder... I was hardly focusing on specific features...

I thought that was pretty self-evident, but anyways thanks for having me needlessly clarify what I was talking about....

You weren't very clear that you were clarifying what you "meant".
As I said, my meaning was pretty self-evident....

Do you communicate this poorly with clients?
Not at all, I only seem to have this difficulty with you..... so one out of the hundreds of people I deal with seems like a pretty good ratio to me...

wow, this place is getting pretty ridiculous

Ouch. To be quite honest, Blue Bear, one could read your initial post and think both the RADAR and HD24 had those features. But that's hardly a topic to argue about. Thanks to both of you for answering my question.

 :D LOL. OMG this was one of the funniest threads! Blue Bear, I can't believe you took the whole thing so seriously man.

I just dont' have the time to follow around every thread he posts his drivel in)
The only drivel here is the crap you keep spouting thru that alcoholic haze of yours.... I've said it before - what a waste.......

Tourettes... this is a very old story...

They're really just getting reaquianted, I'd guess.

Does he? His "insights" into recording are trivial at best. You can buy a recording dictionary and get just about anything he has said out of it.

Ask Bruce some specific questions about how he would handle certain tracks, or obtaining certain sounds. You will find he is always elusive in his answers.

Pssst....your fly is unzipped, and your rep power is showing.

Hey Ed, what's up sir. I know your "rep" :D .

UB802, please post some of your work, I am interested to hear how much better at recording you are than Bruce...............I already have some of his stuff.
