Mixer to work with my RME Multiface

I have an RME multiface that i'm using. I've been enlightened that I can multitrack up to 18 channels at once using the analog, adat inputs. If this is true are there any boards out there that are capable of using all these inputs all at once so i can do 18 channels of multracking?

or a cheaper option is the Behringer digital desk... i forget the name.

Why on earth would you want to record that many inputs simultaneously anyway ?

Why not? I guess it would be good just to know you have the ability just in case you need it.
Are there any other boards that can do this? Are there any pre-amps that i could plug into the multiface directly via adat input?
