MIXER TO BOSS BR864 8 track

Hey there, just curious as to how i connect my mixer to my BOSS BR864 8 track, the 8 track has 1 jack input and 2 mic inputs (1 XLR the other a jack input for it) how do i connect the mixer to the 8 track is it as simple as just a jack to jack lead from an input on the mixer to the jack input on the 8 track? silly question really but VERY important! howwww? cheeers!

Well...as I understand your question you want to hook the mixer up on the input side to get several sources onto the recorder at once, right?

Then yes, it is as simple as jack to jack and output of the mixer to input of the recorder. Be aware that everything going through that mixer will be recorded each time you make a new tracking pass, so be sure to mute anything you don't want rerecorded.
