I don't remember if I ever posted anything about recording with a mixer board and using its sub outs sent to the recorder?! So, thats what I usually do with my recorder and use the subs to record my drums from usually 4 subs going into the recorder for a total of two tracks. I have a Mackie CFX 20 and it has 4 subs out and they are connected to my Yamaha AW16G recorder. How could I use the channel strip eq's and other effects (i.e., compressor inserts, reverb) from my mixer board and have it be heard in the recorder? Do the subs just record only the input signal or is all of the efx's come out of the main mix channel outputs? I hope you can understand this question, but I do appreciate the advice.
