Hey everybody,
I have a E-MU 1212m sound card and a Tapco 120 Mixer. I've been trying to set up the two but i seem to be getting no where. I've got various cables already as i've been trying different things. I understand the basic idea to hook up the mixer main out to the sound card line in, and a red and white phono cable in the tape section of the mixer which plugs into the sound card line out. But i'm getting no where, i'm still new to these things which doesn't help and i don't even think the E-MU 1212m has the right line in and line out required for the hook up. I've also tried things another way around, hooking the mixer cables to the big jack inputs and outputs and i do get sound but it's bad sound and the audio can't pan, etc. I figure this is because those particular inputs and outputs have two each, so of course one input for left, one for right, and one output for left and one for right, which doesn't work things right. I'm not sure where i'm at here, so i'm hoping somebody could give me the low down on hooking up this particular mixer to the E-MU 1212m, with what exact cables i need, etc.
