Well it comes with Ableton live lite 4 and I cannot comment on the software because I never used it, but the manual for the software will tell you how to connect all of your inputs!

Alright thanks. So what I need to buy to get single track recordinds on each channel is the Firewire 18/14 and then 8 1/4 to 1/4 TRS cables. And plug them 1/2 into the Insert I/O (on my mixer) and half way into the Firewire 18/14.
Tell me if i'm wrong?

Thats how it's done! wait it's halfway in the insert but all the way in on the firewire1814..... M-audio is good about putting diagrams in their manuals so you should not have a problem there!!!!! let me know if you pick one up
