Mixer & PA problem

No, mono unbalanced splitting to two mono unbalanced. Behri mixer outputs can do either balanced or unbalanced. At least the one I used could.
That sounds like a degradation in quality. The 1 wire being split in 2.

Try it and see.
I don't have any Y-leads like that, and don't know anywhere that sells them. I'd have to make one.

Also, going the other way(stereo to mono), the signals would add to each other(double(+3dB)), and if there were differences from between the two signals, these would be quieter(not doubled). Anyway, i think you mentioned the degradation in quality of this earlier.

I don't see the need for any y cord at all. All he has to do is what you've all told him to do and that's to simply pan both of the two stereo channels to either right or left and then send that side all by itself to the speaker. You'll have both signals in a mono form.
Also ..... not specific to the Beri because I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE BUT:
On some equipment .... the separate outputs can have a floating ground and summing two separate outs together can cause hummm ...... or in worst case, as XLR mentioned, damage.

Yep. We've got off on a tangent.

I was under the impression that the I/O on actual hardware does the phase reverse and not the cable itself.
