o.k. so.....I got everything disassembled and know where the jumper i need to cut to switch the AUX2 SEND from POST to PRE
.....but there is know U-shaped wire jumper. It is printed in the PCB (a warning for Behringer owners contimplating doing this mod).

So....How do I safely cut this printed jumper without screwing up the rest o the board?????

Putting the new jumper in is no problem, there are solder points clearly there but I'm stumped for the moment.

Any help again would be much appreciated.

You probably have to very carefully break the solder connection. Heat it up and use a small screwdriver to create a gap. Be very carefull not to heat up the circuit board too much.

Thanks Tex, just one more thing....

....The PCB is actually labled on the bottom of the board, where the components stick through.

I can clearly see from the top which patths go where but it does appear more crowded from the top.

Do you think it is unwise to work from the bottom?????

You can only break the solder link from one direction unless you plan on burning through the entire board. Apply your soldering iron to the shiny silver side ;)

thanks tex

i think i am going to wait a little vit on that anyway.

i used it with two mics on a guitar and it didn't really seem to have a huge difference noise-wise between pre and post.

it makes me nervous to cut into the board and i jst got it like a week ago..... but thats typical, get something at the store, get it home, try it breifly, take it apart and look inside, put it back together and hopefully it all works like new.

i would eventually like to put some switches on all of the mono channels so i can assiggn each.

i should have just save another $100 and got the one with the inserts.

Hi,

I advise strongly against heating a PCB with a soldering iron like that. If you do that you will "measle" the PCB and the delaminaton will cause failures in other circuits in that area. If you want to cut a trace use a sharp x-acto knife. Cut from the trace side not the other side. If you could e-mail me a scan of the drawing you are using to do this mod I can better help you out.
