I was recently given a faulty Mackie Micro 1202 12-Channel Mic/Line Mixer. Here's the thing: when it is active it generates noise. There is a slight frequency to it. Since the mixer was out of warranty, I decided to open it up and examine the interior for any obvious defects. Since none were to be found, I can say that there is some component that is worn out and causing the main OUTs to be severely distorted and saturated wit slightly toned noise. Any idea what is wrong? What mysterious part is broken? How would I fix it, how much would the component cost and where would I find one?
