i am trying to record drums with 3 or 4 microphones and well i own the DMP3 and it only has two channels. what options do i have on how i can have at least 3 channels for the 3 microphones without having to spend too much?

and if i have to get a mixer or whatever will that make the DMP3 useless for drum recording?

Um..well with the DMP3 you're still limited to only 2 channels of audio at one time.

So...i would get a better sound card if you want to record more tracks at once.

But if you are wondering what mixers you can use to "mix" 4 mics into 2 channels then look into any mackie or yamaha that is in your price range.

You can get a small 4-preamp mixer like the Yamaha MG10/2 for under $100.

You'll also need a multi-input soundcard like a delta 44 or 1010LT
