I've done quite a bit of recording in other people's studios, but am yet to own one.

I'm looking for a desk to do live sound AND recording with, currently i have the Peavey PV14, and the Peavey RQ2300 in mind (the latter is discontinued i know).

What do you guys think I should go for?

I'm pretty set on the M-Audio Delta1010LT interface, so anything over 10 channels would be obsolete in the studio, and I'm looking at a similar number of channels live - I want to put a standard rock band (drums, guitar, bass, up to 3 vocals) through the PA, but won't need to close-mic drums or anything as I'll be using it in pretty small venues.

I asked in my local music shop and the guy in there said I'd be better off with an Allen & Heath GL3 or similar, but my current budget is around the £300 mark.
