New Problem that's as old as sound itself.
I record live shows. I've gotten decent
results with just a stereo mic pair
(Rodents) direct to CDR. But I've been
messed around by the change of the mix
midstream due to changes in the line-up
or what-not etc. etc.
Now I wanna upgrade to something sweeter
and more editable. Or one now and then
another later as I can afford.
Looking for multichannel recording somewhat
like the MX2424, but am bummed at all the
"proprietary" decisions that were made re:
this rack mount goodie.
Don't wanna go ADAT. Sorry.
For a notch back I'd be willing to go with a
nice mixer to record live and provide the
sends (direct outs) for the house mix instead
of the other way around. For now looking hard at the
Allen/Heath WZ14:4:2 going into my TASCAM CDRW5000.
