The digital multitrack programs have a mixdown option but how do they do this? You have to subtract numbers
to add numbers from another file don't you? I noticed my Quality getting worse as I added Tracks. Now I mixdown by setting my sound card to "Mixed Output"
and record the mix with a seperate program or the same
program"if I am not running to many tracks".Are there others who have noticed this?

ummm, well, gee.....

uhhh, what??

not really too sure what you're asking here??

I use Cubase and their mixdown function seems to work fine...it will take all of the tracks in your song and mix them down to whatever you want (stereo 2-track, mono, etc.) without losing any quality

if you're losing quality as you add tracks than you probably need either 1.) a new soundcard; 2.) a new processor; 3.) more memory; 4.) combo of any of the previous 3
