Mixdown Questions

1.Stereo Split and Stereo Interleaved. Whats the difference?

2. I should mixdown in stereo,not mono, right?

3. I should still hear the different pan positions when I micdown in stereo, right?

4. For burning to CD's, do you guys prefer to use AIFF or WAV? Why?

5. When I mixdown in an Mp3 format, the song sounds like it's coming through a transister radio. Any idea why that might be happening?

1. Interleaved - that's like a cd file - split is two mono files.
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. Probably wav, as that is what it will be converted to for an audio cd anyway
5. Wrong mp3 setting - try 128/44.1/stereo at a minimum
