mixdown deck idea

The 2 track deck Im using as a mixdown deck from my 424 is an old teac which has seen its better days. I get tape warble dropouts,etc.

I am going to mix down the 424 to a Tascam Porta 02mkII which I got before I bought the 424. My question is should I put the tracks on the porta 02 at track 1 and 2?

I would assume so,huh? I mean its the same thing as a 2track if I just set it up on tracks 1 and 2. I assume that way it will be in stereo.

I also would guess that the Porta 02mkII should be a decent deck to mix down to.

I would be totally lost if it werent for this forum. You guys are really great.

I cant figure out yet how to post pics. As soon as my wife gets time, shes going to help. Or maybe I will have my 8 year old help me out.

I would rather spend my time exploring the 424 than figuring out my computer!!!

I mean, theres only so many hours in a day, and ya gotta have some fun!!

Yes, tracks 1 & 2 if you want to play back on standard cassette.
