Mix Help on Power Pop Rock

Have two songs I am in the process of mixing. Definately need some extra set of ears to help finish...

Good intro, to heavy hitting rock.

Sissypunk, not an insult, a designation.

There's a solo line that's lost in the mix somewhat. I don't know if it adds that much to the song as it stands. It's a very busy mix, I would like to hear things a bit more seperated and defined. This is getting picky, sounds like a very good recording.

The song is kind of whiney and forgettable but that's my opinion of the genre and not your song in particular I suppose.
Cool ending, good job.

My name's Andrew Le and I like it. The only thing that sticks out is the cymbals... they're really bright.

Did you record these yourself, or are you just mixing?

yeah..really tinny mix...like the smiley EQ curve.

vocals pretty good.

I am just not used to thin, fizzy guitars working in a song context....but a VanHalen brown sound definately wouldn't work here either!

I like the bass sound...but the mix eq is wacky, like I said.
