Mix down better

I believe that to better ALL of our music qualities, that each of us should post up a track they wanted to mix down better, and whoever (like me) can do that job, and improve the quality for one another. Sort of like the mp3 clinic, but in here instead...

The gains would most likely be great.
This can show us that not having a multi-million dollar facility, we can still get the quality to be better using whatever we got. may that be recording onto a fasttrack on a radio shack mic lol.

Some of us have great quality already, some of us can use this as a learning tool on how to mix their music down better.
 
i will certianly send a track or 2 or maybe 3

Man, that is a damn good suggestion! That's what it's all about...........
 
lol lets start posting up like 2 tracks maximum.

If you got them on seperate tracks, that's the best way. Especially on vocals if your beat is already mixed down. Also post the original track to compare. Vocals I think are the most important part to be mixing down in hip-hop/rap whenever the beat is mostly mixed down.

I use a multi-million dollar facility, but I don't own one lol. I get my studio time for free, but I wish it was in my back yard you know? But some of us might not have access to one, and even if they did doesn't mean quality would be great if they didn't know how to use it correctly & mix stuff down correctly.
 
Yo Mind,

Post some of your stuff up so ppl can take a listen to what your offering to them. I know a lot of the more newer people to recording can use something like this, but it's always good to have some references to showcase what your capable of. BTW this thread is definitely a good idea.

Ok here's a few songs mastered/mixed down by me.. Each song has a different taste of mixing done to it. I don't mix down the music all the same. Arguably the best track on this list is Set It Free by Vyrous... Very powerful...

LOL sorry, that was a little more than quite a few... A couple of them are older songs, but most of them were done well IMO Obviously not million dollar music, but hey, I'm getting there ;)

Yeah man that dude Vyrous is nice on the mic... def. out-shined the rest lyrically. I think roll with the dogs is the best mix though but I'm listening at low volumes right now.
 
Yeah Vyrous is my best artist lyrically, winner of few spit raw tourny's, and various other tourny's battling all the way to the top. Also we entered him into Making The Band twice lol didn't get to be on top but oh well... Album Arch Enemy will drop offically sometime soon and shortly after that we'll be finished recording the next album hopefully, which we will team up with Con Artist & lace a nice album.

lol I feel ya. Usually I wouldn't do it for free, but I think it'll be a learning experience that might help any of us, including me. Especially when all I usually mix down is my own artists & myself etc... Mixing down someone else's work that might not have been tracked right or is a task, might help out the engineer themselves not just the artist who recorded it you know?

u kno con artist to....... if it the same one i kno iown really mess wit him to stong no more after he jacked one of my hooks for this beat he gave to nickle-us F......... of course im sure there's like 12334234123 con artist out there so its probly not the same one
 
Con Artist Productions not just 1 guy lol. Their based in the west coast and whenever vyrous isn't flying down here to record, they help do the productions for me so that I can concentrate on the other artists and such.
 
so we not talkin bout the same con artist lol........ that name is floatin around a lot....

and u must really be doin big things if ur flyin ur artist around man sounds good
