MiniMoog vs Se-1

Anybody got any opinions about what's pros/cons on these two machines
 
Don't know anything about the se-1, but the minimoog voyager produces some awesome sounds. Comes with a pretty big bunch of presets that can be tweaked to your liking and saved for future use. Make sure you buy a unit with version 3 or higher software or you will have to spend even more upgrading. One perceived weakness is that it is monophonic, but it was intended as a solo instrument with awesome bass and other classic moog sounds. The retail is high, but you should be able to negotiate. It has a sound all it's own. It's really a matter of what you intend to do with the instrument as well as your musical taste, so try before you buy.
 
you wouldnt be disappointed with the SE1..my friend has one and a voyager..and well you get the picture...I have the studio electronics ATC...I also had the voyager.....you wouldnt be disappointed with any of these...I would blindly buy any studio electronics synth and know it was gonna sound really tight
 
My understanding was that SE began by repairing or reconditioning Minimoogs, and eventually decided to make their own, which was the SE-1. Until the Voyager came out it was probably the closest modern equivalent. It was way out of my price range, though... I'm not sure about nowadays.
 
If you can swing it the Voyager is the way to go. It's a truly inspiring instrument. It sucks you in. Add the VX-351, CP-251, and a couple Moogerfoogers and the Voyager will do stuff that approaches modular synthesis.

Be sure and check out the new MF-107 too. It'll be out next month. I'm gonna order one as soon as Humbucker puts them on their site.
