Thanks for this great site. A member there has helped me along so far in purchasing a minidisc recorder and I love it. Now...what's the best way to record this material on to a CD? Comp USA and Best Buy employees are no help. Can you help me anyone??

Ahhh, I hear the CALL OF THE WILD GOOSE BY FRANKIE LANE....if anyone remembers that tune, well, we went to high school at about the same time;

What type of minidisc do you have? A two track recorder? Or, do you have an 8 track multi-track (now that's redundant) recorder of the digital type?

If you want to do CD, man, you're jumping from the frying pan into MUCH STUDY and more equipment.

If you merely want to copy one recording to CD, I guess you need some type of CD box that does that. I'm sure they're available if you check out the catalogs and 800 numbers.

Buy a stand alone CD Audio recorder. (I have an Inexpensive Phillips and It works great!)

You can buy a more professional version for $500.00 to $800.00..or more...

Simply plug in a fiber optical cable (For digital recording) or RCA cables for analog and youve got a master!

i agree with the Dom,

i bought a Philips(CD-recorder) joint last year to add to my setup which already includes a minidisc player/recorder along with all of my recording gear.

the MD is great for mixdowns, and the cd recorder is there if you want to get a good feel of how your mix would sound in other environments before you take it to be mastered. plus you get to stay in the digital world via optical outs and ins on the MD and the CD recorder.
