Minidisc compatible with CD recorder? What?

I heard someone say that a Cd recorder will recognize minidisc tracks?

Huh?

Can someone tell me what they meant?

I have a minidisc and when I transfer to a CD, my CD recorder will automaticly switch tracks when the minidisc switches.

Does that only apply to a digital transfer from the minidisc to the CDR? I've seen this with a CD player to CDR digital dub.

I saw a MD recorder that hooks up to the computer with 64 meg (forget the name brand), storage card and such.
Now would that be wiser to purchase than a regular (portable) MD player/recorder ?
